Isaac S. Wiens, son of Isaac M. and Marie Wiens, was born Jan. 13, 1882, at Inman, Kansas.  He passed away at his home near Turpin, Okla. on June 4, 1959, having reached the age of 77 years, four months and 22 days.
 
He came to Beaver county, Okla. in 1902.  The following year he homesteaded the place where he resided until his death.
 
On Nov. 2, 1905, he was united in marriage to Emma Minnie Saffrain.  To this union six children were born:  Edward, Herbert, Ruth, Laura, Lawrence and Viola. 
 
In his early life he gave his heart and life to the Lord and was a devout Christian.  He was a member of the Bethel Church of God.
 
His whole life was devoted to his church and family.  One of his greatest sources of joy was his grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife and two sons.  He leaves to mourn his departure his children, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Arp, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wiens and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jarrell; 11 grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Klaas Dick and Mrs. Maggie Wedel of Turpin, Mrs. George Friesen of Reedley, Calif., Mrs. Dan Schmidt, McPherson, Kansas, Mrs. Agnes Becker, Mrs. Jake Zielke and Mrs Curt Vogt of Liberal, and a host of other relatives and friends.
 
Services were held at the Bethel Church of God Sunday afternoon with Rev. John Lehnert, pastor of the church, and Rev. Levi Kohen [''sic'' Koehn], pastor of the Turpin Mennonite church, officiating. 
 
Burial was made in the Turpin Mennonite cemetery. &#8212; The Children.
