Filadelfia, Paraguay. — Stepping down after having rested in a hammock, Mrs. Gertrude Wiebe, 42, was bitten by a poisonous snake.
Rushed to the hospital here, she received a serum injection and appeared to be well on the way to recovery.
The following morning her condition worsened and at 6:30 p.m. she passed away.
