— Relatives in the Newton vicinity attended funeral services for John J. Wedel, 68, at the Walton Mennonite church last Friday afternoon. Rev. C. B. Friesen and Rev. Ronald von Riesen officiated. burial was made in the Hopefield church cemetery west of Moundridge. Mr. Wedel had been partially paralyzed since suffering a stroke last August, but the end came suddenly on Wednesday, Nov. 19. He was a former resident of the Moundridge community, and had lived at Walton for about 10 years. His wife, one son and three daughters survive. | |||
