&#82  Funeral services for C. C. Duerksen, 81, were held Jan. 10 at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, with Rev. Marvin Hein and Rev. M. A. Kroeker officiating.  Mr. Duerksen died Jan. 5 at the Meadowlark Homestead near Newton, having suffered a stroke of paralysis in December.  He had farmed in the Hillsboro and Lehigh communities for many years before retiring and moving to Hillsboro in 1947.  Surviving are his wife, Mary, five daughters, two sons and seven grandchildren.
