LONG-TIME RESIDENT OF SATANTA, KAN. CALLED AWAY IN DEATH
Satanta, Kan. — B. D. Doerksen, well-known retired farmer here, died Sept 4 at the farm home 11 miles northwest of Satanta where he had lived since 1916. Death came after three months of illness, at the age of 85. Mr. Doerksen was born in Russia and came to Canada with his parents at the age of four.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Emanuel Mennonite church near Meade, with Rev. S. H. Epp in charge.
Mr. Doerksen leaves his wife; six daughters and three sons; 40 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
