DEATH CLAIMS DEACON
Reedley, Calif. -- Funeral services for Peter K. Warkentin, 88, were held at the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church on Aug. 9. He died on Aug. 7.
A native of Hillsboro, Kan., he had lived in the Reedley area 61 years. He was a retired farmer and an ordained lifetime deacon of the Reedley church.
Survivors include his widow, Gertrude, of rural Dinuba, five children, two step-children, a brother, two sisters, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
