• Mrs. Peter D. Dirks, 71, died Sunday at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro where she and her husband took up residence last year. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Hoffnungsau Church near Inman, with Rev. Dick Rempel, the pastor, and Rev. Roland Goering of Hillsboro officiating. Mrs. Dirks was the former Louise Wedel of Goessel. She and her husband farmed south of Moundridge before moving to Buhler in 1953. Surviving in addition to Mr. Dirks are one son, Ernest, of Hillsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Irvin Fast and Mrs. Ed. Sommerfeld, both of Newton; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Peter Schmidt of Goessel. | |||
