The former Grace Cooprider, she was a native of McPherson County and taught school at Zimmerdale and Hesston Academy following graduation from the Academy. Surviving are her husband, a resident of Schowalter Villa; five sons, John, Allen, Robert, Ivan and Eugene, all of Hesston; one daughter, Mrs. Lois Hershberger of Hesston; two sisters, Dr. Florence Friesen and Mrs. Kore Zook, both of Hesston; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday forenoon at the Hesston Mennonite Church, with Rev. Peter B. Wiebe officiating. |
