Esther (Wiebe) Busenitz, 67, of rural Newton, died March 21 at Newton Medical Center. Funeral services were held March 24 at Emmaus Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater. Rodney Crowell and Andrew Shelly officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Leroy of Elbing, Dennis of Newton and Milton of Laurel, Neb.; three daughters, Carolyn Van Zandt of Wichita, Judy Harms of Elsie, Neb., and Phyllis Ranfeld of Whitewater; five brothers, Alfred Wiebe of Burns, Edward Wiebe of Rockford, Ill., Waldemar Wiebe and Richard Wiebe, both of Whitewater, and Bill Wiebe of Okene, Okla.; three sisters, Hilda Regier of Newton, Emily Busenitz of Whitewater and Gladys Wiebe of Elbing; and 11 grandchildren. Her husband, Alfred, died in 1982. | |||
