Wellman, Iowa. &#8212; Funeral services for Daniel J. Burkholder, 22, who was fatally hurt in a highway accident near Bethany, Mo., were conducted at the Wellman Mennonite Church on Feb. 1.

The young man had come here to visit his parents and was en route to Kansas City, Kan. where he was employed when his car went out of control and down a 20-foot embankment. He died late Sunday night, Jan. 29, in a hospital.

Mr. Burkholder was a graduate of Iowa Mennonite School near Kalona and had attended Hesston and Goshen colleges. He had planned to enroll at the University of Iowa as a medical student in the near future.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Burkholder of Wellman; two sisters, three brothers, two step-brothers, and his fiance, Miss Leila Kauffman of Colorado.

Young Man Killed In Highway Crash

DANIEL J. BURKHOLDER OF IOWA DIES IN MISHAP NEAR BETHANY, MO.

Wellman, Iowa. — Funeral services for Daniel J. Burkholder, 22, who was fatally hurt in a highway accident near Bethany, Mo., were conducted at the Wellman Mennonite Church on Feb. 1.

The young man had come here to visit his parents and was en route to Kansas City, Kan. where he was employed when his car went out of control and down a 20-foot embankment. He died late Sunday night, Jan. 29, in a hospital.

Mr. Burkholder was a graduate of Iowa Mennonite School near Kalona and had attended Hesston and Goshen colleges. He had planned to enroll at the University of Iowa as a medical student in the near future.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Burkholder of Wellman; two sisters, three brothers, two step-brothers, and his fiance, Miss Leila Kauffman of Colorado.
