AGED AMISH DEACON CALLED BY DEATH
Shipshewana, Ind. — A large number of local Amish members, relatives and friends attended funeral services Dec. 17 for Joni M. Bontrager, aged deacon of the West Honeyville District of the Old Order Amish Church.
He was ordained to the office of deacon in 1907and was highly respected by members of his church and community. Death came on Dec. 14 at the age of 87.
