Young Man Dies In Colorado Mountain Climbing Accident

Hillsboro, Kan. —Funeral services for Edward Jost, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Jost of rural Peabody, were held at the Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church near here on Aug. 2, with Rev. Henry Brucks officiating.

Jost, who was employed as a data processor in Denver, Colo., and a fellow-employee were climbing mountains on Sunday afternoon, July 29, when he apparently slipped and fell approximately 100 ft. into a stream. His death was reportedly attributed to drowning.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, Larry, of the home and a sister, Sylvia King, of Wichita.
