ADOLPH E. FRIESEN
Adolph Friesen was born on Oct 25, 1909 in York County, Nebraska, the son of Bernhard and Margaretha (Epp) Friesen. He went to his heavenly home on Dec. 12. 1972 at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Neb.
Early in his year he accepted Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. In June 1933 he was baptized and became a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson, Neb.
He was active in church, having served among many things on the building committee and as a Sunday school teacher. He received his elementary education in the York County school system. He also attended the German Bible School for two terms.
On Sept. 28, 1933 he married Justina (Goldie) Goertzen. To this union was born two sons and two daughters.
Dad spent most of his life farming in York County. Several winters were spent working in California. Our parents moved to Henderson in 1966 to begin their years of semi-retirement. He opened a wood-working shop in June 1972.
We will always remember his emphasis on family devotions. One of this favorite scripture passages was Psalm 121.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harold and wife Cathy of Dunwoody Ga., Donald and wife Velma of rural Bradshaw; two daughters, Evelyn and husband Ronald Pauls of Henderson and Carol and husband Michael Epp of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Arlie and Clarence E. Henderson and Jacob E. of Lushton; two sisters, Bertha, Mrs. David Penner of Butterfield, Minn. and Pauline, Mrs. Howard E. Friesen of Henderson.
