Jerel Lukas Fast was born to Herman and Heidi Fast of Clearbrook, B.C. on September 23, 1979, and passed away less than a year later, on September 16, 1980. He was born prematurely, with underdeveloped and damaged lungs, and spent all but four and a half months of his life in intensive care. He is survived by his parents; a twin brother, Jason; paternal grandparents John and Lena Fast of Abbotsford, RC., and maternal grand· parents Abe and Kaethe Toews of Vancouver.
