EDWARD J. LAUTERMILCH

ask . passed away on August 19. He was born October 15, 1901 to Mr . and Mrs. John Lautermilch in the Odessa area , Ukraine, Russia . He immigrated with his parents to North Dakota in 1905 and they moved to Woodrow, Sask. in 1910. He accepted Christ as his Saviour at age 20 . Shortly after he was baptized and joined the MB Church at Wood- row. In 1923 he married Josephine Grose. In 1944 he was ordained as minister of the gospel at the Woodrow Church . He studied at MBBC in Win- nipeg and Canadian Bible College in Regina . He taught at Herbert (Sask.) Bible School, 1945-56, then pastored three chur- ches: Swi ft Current MB, 1957-62, Kelowna (B.C.) MB, 1962-66; and Beechy (Sask.) MB, 1966-69. His preaching was marked with en- thusiasm, humour and strong Bible know- ledge. In 1969 the couple retired to Swift Cur- rent . He is survived by his wife Josephine; six brothers and three sisters.
