JOHN P. PETERS

John P. Peters of Clearbrook, B.C. pased way on August 15. He was born on August 2, 1906 to Peter P. and Susan (Warkentin) Peters. In 1925 the family immigrated to Manitoba. Five years later they moved to Gem, Alta. He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and was baptized in the Gem MB Church on July 12, 1931. He married Annie Brucks of Gem on February 28, 1932. In 1943 the family moved to Arnold, B.C. to a dairy farm. He loved work in the Arnold MB Church and for many years was secretary and treasurer. The family moved to Clearbrook in 1965. He is survived by his wife Annie; four sons and spouses: William and Evelyn of Abbotsford, Alvin and Doris of Houston, Texas, Arnold and Louise of Kelowna, B.C., Waldo and Trudy of Enderby, B.C.; three daughters and spouses: Elvira and Henry Wiebe, Marilyn and Allan Peters of Abbotsford, Margaret and Rodney Smith of Kelowna; 24 grandchildren, two great-grand-children, three sisters, one brother, two st e p- brothers and one step-sister. His funeral was held August 19 in the Clearbrook MB Church with pastor John G. Baerg, and Rev. H.G . Thielman officiating.
