GERTRUDE STOBBE

Gertrude Stobbe of Winnipeg passed away August 9 at age 45. She was born in the Boissevain, Man. area. In her youth she accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized. After a year of Bible school and several years of work, she was stricken with multiple sclerosis. Her mother cared for her until she died in 1966. She later moved in with her brother Peter's family for several years. Finally she moved to Donwood Manor in Winnipeg, where she has been for nine years. "She brought much happiness and love into the lives of all who knew her," writes the family. She was predeceased by her parents and by two brothers in infancy. She is survived by her five sisters: Mary, Helene, Marguerite, Caroline, Vera and their husbands; four brothers: John, Peter, Walter, Eldon, and their wives; and 29 nieces and nephews.
