+ | ● Esther B. Bartsch, 86, of Topeka and formerly of Newton, died Nov. 30 at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka. Services were held Dec. 2 at Petersen's Funeral Home Chapel, Newton. Richard Peterson and James Dunn officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. A native of Newton, she was a member of First Mennonite Church, Newton, and an associate member of First United Methodist church, Topeka. A retired Newton public elementary school teacher, she had moved to Topeka from Newton in 1943. Survivors include two sons, John of Lincoln, Neb., and Paul of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Barbara jean McCartney of Topeka; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Paul W., preceded her in death in 1967. |
