ABE REIMER

Abe Reimer died July 25, 2006 of lung cancer. He was born Sept. 12, 1937 to Abram and Maria Reimer in Zagradovka, Ukraine. He experienced the terrors of war and hunger as the family fled Russia with the retreating German army. They settled in Winnipeg, where Abe quickly learned English. In 1964, he married Linda Loewen . Abe was a natural salesman, and eventually took up bookselling, his dream career. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of books, especially the Bible, which he loved deeply. His two closest friends were men he led to Christ through his store. Abe was a charter member of McIvor Ave. MB Church. He served on many committees, was an avid sports booster,and treasured his grandchildren. He is mourned by Linda; children Lorilee (Doyle) Craker and Dan (Tina); 7 grandchildren; 5 siblings. The funeral was Aug. 1,2006 at McIvor Ave. MB Church, Winnipeg.
