NETTIE DYCK

Nettie Dyck died Oct. 23 at age 93. She was born Mar. 27, 1913 in Osterwick, Ukraine to Wilhelm and Angenetha Dueck. In March 1931, she married Gerhard Dyck. She was baptized on Pentecost of the same year. In 1943, the family immigrated to Canada and lived for several years in Morden, Man. before settling in Burlington, Ont. Nettie was a loving wife and mother. A skillful gardener, she decorated the pulpit each Sunday at Mountview MB Church, Stoney Creek, Ont. She loved to crochet and read. Through all the challenges in her life, Nettie trusted in her Lord for guidance and comfort. Predeceased by Gerhard; daughter Erna; sister Margarete; she is mourned by sons Jake (Lori) and George (Irene); daughter Kathy (Carl) Steele; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother.
