&bull;  Mrs. Ida Bartel, 84, died May 16 at her home in North Newton.  The funeral was conducted Monday forenoon at the Bethel College Church, of which she was a member, with Rev. Esko Loewen and Rev. John Esau officiating.  Mrs. Bartel, the former Ida Schroeder, was a native of the Hillsboro community and with her husband, Edward W. Bartel, lived on a farm there for many years.  Mr. Bartel died in 1970.  Survivors include two sons, Wesley W. of Newton and Harold D. of North Newton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and seven sisters, Mrs. Augusta Kliewer of Flagler, Colo., Mrs. Anna Schultz of Reedley, Calif., Mrs. Marie Goertz of Newton; Mrs. Julia Wedel of Moundridge, Mrs. Emma Klassen of Hillsboro, Mrs. Cora Tauschen of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Ellen Vogt of Salina.
