MRS. PETER W. KRAUSE

Bertha Krause, daughter of John and Sara Klassen, was born in McPherson County, Kansas on Aug. 29, 1904, and went to be with the Lord at the age of 70.

She was married to Pete Krause on Nov. 24, 1926 at Hooker, Okla. To this union one daughter was born.

In 1937 she with her husband and daughter moved to Reedley, Calif. There she accepted Christ as her Savior, was baptized and joined the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1952 they moved to San Jose and established a home there. On Feb. 1, 1975 they returned to the Adams, Okla. community to live.

Bertha was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of San Jose, Calif., joining that fellowship on Jan. 30, 1955. She was an active member of the church and served as church hostess from 1956 to 1974. She did much of the cooking for large groups in the church and in association and community affairs. In addition to cooking for large groups she enjoyed feeding her entire family. She was loved by everyone who met her. She was a wonderful wife and mother and her strong faith showed in her life.
