Steinbach. Man. — The Church of God In Christ Mennonite congregation here mourns the loss of its pastor, Rev. Jacob F. Barkman, 66, who died suddenly at his home on Oct. 21 just after finishing the noon meal. There was no warning of any illness.

A number of friends from the U. S. joined the local congregation in the final services for Rev. Barkman on Tuesday, Oct. 25. He was widely known throughout the constituency, and had served on the Peace Problems Committee of his conference for Alberta and Manitoba. He had been pastor of the local church since his ordination in 1921.

MINISTER OF STEINBACH, MAN. CHURCH SINCE 1921 CALLED SUDDENLY

Steinbach. Man. — The Church of God In Christ Mennonite congregation here mourns the loss of its pastor, Rev. Jacob F. Barkman, 66, who died suddenly at his home on Oct. 21 just after finishing the noon meal. There was no warning of any illness.

A number of friends from the U. S. joined the local congregation in the final services for Rev. Barkman on Tuesday, Oct. 25. He was widely known throughout the constituency, and had served on the Peace Problems Committee of his conference for Alberta and Manitoba.
