• Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Greensburg on Dec. 27 for Louis E. Schmidt, 80, a retired farmer and stockman and resident of the Greensburg community since 1910. He was a member of the Greensburg Mennonite Church, and Rev. D. A. Raber, the pastor, officiated. Mr. Schmidt married Lodie Wadel at Greensburg in 1941, and she survives. Virgil Schmidt and Mrs. Lena Good, both of Hesston, are among 11 surviving children.
