• Peter J. Banman, 89, a resident of the Goessel community most of his life, died at the Bethesda Home on Dec. 21. Rev. Ronald Krehbiel officiated at the funeral services, held Saturday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl church. Mr. Banman married Sarah Hildebrand at Inman in 1904, and they lived in Colorado for about eight years before moving to Route 2, Canton. Mrs. Banman died in 1925. Mr. Banman moved to the Bethesda Home in 1969. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Ferd (Hilda) Duerksen of Route 3, Hillsboro; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Abe J., Wm. J., and Sam J., all of Goessel, and one sister, Elizabeth Banman of Moundridge. | |||
