&bull; Jacob S. Kaufman, 87, who farmed in the Moundridge community most of his life, died Saturday, Oct. 14, at Mercy Hospital there. He had been living in retirement at North Newton. Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at the Eden Mennonite Church, with Rev. Walter Neufeld and Dr. H. A. Fast officiating. Mr. Kaufman is survived by his widow, the former Mary Goering, of North Newton; five sons, Alvin of Windom, Pete R. of North Newton; Emil, Dan and Kenneth, all of Moundridge; six daughters, Mrs. Olga Waltner of Moundridge, Mrs. Arlene Ediger of Bradshaw, Neb., Mrs. Lucille Henry of Hutchinson, Carol Kaufman of Fresno, Calif., and Gladys and Marilyn Kaufman of Newton; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
