Young Man Killed In Railroad Crossing Crash at Reedley

Reedley, Calif. — Funeral services were conducted at the Mennonite Brethren Church here on June 14 for Charles Edward Curran, 22, who is believed to have died instantly Monday night when his car crashed into a freight train at a crossing here.

Mr. Curran was accompanied by his wife. Valerie, who suffered fractures and a punctured lung in the crash. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Heinrichs of Reedley, she is reported recovering in St. Agnes Hospital, Fresno.

Mr. Curran was a graduate of Reedley College and was employed by a Clovis firm. The couple resided in Dinuba.
