— — The funeral services of Henry P. Goertz, 81, of North Newton were held last Saturday afternoon at the Bethel College Church, with Dr. Lloyd Ramseyer and Rev. Esko Loewen officiating. Mr. Goertz died Oct. 19. at the Halstead Nursing Center. He was a former resident of Durham where he operated a hardware and implement business and was president of the Durham State Bank for many years. He was also president of the school hoard and a member of the city council there. Five brothers and three sisters survive, in addition to family members listed in last week’s Review. — Henry P. Goertz, 81, of North Newton died Monday morning at the Halstead Nursing Center when he had been a patient for some time. He was a former long-time resident of the Durham community where he was a prominent farmer and president of the Durham bank. Survivors include his widow, the former Selma Jantz; sons Willard of Wichita, Ben of Durham, and Dan of Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Bernice) Albrecht of Claremore, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bethel College Mennonite Church, of which he was a member.
