Mrs. Frieda Andreas of North Newton attended funeral services in Lincoln, Neb. on Monday for her sister, Mrs. Jacob F. Balzer, 80, who died Aug. 20 of injuries sustained in an auto accident near Lincoln about a week earlier. Her husband, Rev. Balzer, also was injured but is recovering. Mrs. Balzer was the former Jennie Alieda van der Smissen, and was married to Rev. Balzer at Berne, Ind. in 1913. He was a Bible teacher and dean of Bethel College between 1913 and 1918, and for many years taught and served as dean at Doane College, Crete, Neb.

Funeral services were held Aug 24 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ at Crete, Neb. for Mrs. J. F. Balzer of Lincoln, who suffered fatal injuries in an auto accident Aug. 12 and died Aug. 20. Mrs. Frieda Andreas of North Newton attended her sister's funeral. Rev. Balzer, former dean and teacher at Bethel College, suffered a broken leg in the accident. Mrs. Balzer is survived by her husband, three daughters, seven grandchildren, five sisters and two brothers.
