WILLIAM (BILL) J. WIEBE
William J. Wiebe died Jan . 25. He was born Oct. 10, 1910 to Jacob and Agnes Wiebe in Alexandrodar, Kuban, Russia. The family immigrated to Canada in 1925, settling in Manitou. He was a farm hand. He was baptized in 1932. He married Margaret Rempel Sept. 12, 1933. They moved to Black Creek, B.C in 1936, where he logged. In 1940 they moved to a dairy farm in East Chilliwack, B.C They were charter members of East Chilliwack MB Church. He was an usher, treasurer, caterer and council member. He was also a charter member and board member of East Chilliwack Co-op and East Chilliwack Credit Union. He also worked as an electrician. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, teaching his grandchildren to use tools and equipment. Predeceased by Margaret in 1995, son Ed, 1 grandson, he is mourned by son Vic; daughter Wilma Stobbe; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother. The funeral was Feb. 17 in Clearbrook MB Church, Abbotsford, B. C.
