ELIZABETH UNGER

lizabeth Unger died Sept. 9. She was born Dec. 17,1914 to Abram and Maria Wiebe in Ufa, Russia. The family moved to a Iti ~~i~i~~ farm at Colonsay, Sask. III' in 1925. When the family moved to On- tario, Elizabeth stayed to work in Saskatoon. She married David Unger Jan . 14, 1945. They farmed at Moose Range and Lobethal, then moved to Main Centre, Sask. in 1953. In 1984 they moved to Herbert, Sask. Eliza- beth worked hard to provide for her family. She had a big garden and a few chickens. She took pride in the accomplishments of her children. Because of her sons' mental handicaps she became involved in the Sask. Association for Retarded Children, helping establish a special class for the handicapped. She enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles and crocheting. When caring for the house- hold became too much, David and home care took over. Predeceased by 2 infant sons, 1 sister and 2 brothers, she is mourned by David; daughters Mary Mielke; Ruth Unruh; sons David, Daniel, Paul; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters;. The funeral was Sept. 13 in Herbert MB Church.
