RITA MARTICHENCKO
Rita Marlene Martichenko died July 22. She was born February 1942 to Alex and Velma Dell in Foam Lake, Sask. She attended Briercrest Bible College, Caronport, Sask. and Regina Teachers' College, receiving her BA from the University of Saskatchewan in 1974. She married Ed Martichenko in 1967. She taught in Regina and Arelee, Sask. She accepted Jesus at 11 and led others to the same decision. She lived her faith on a daily basis and practised more than preached. She was a compassionate and understanding friend. She taught community Bible clubs and Sunday school, and worked on the Biggar and District Home Care board and on the Saskatchewan Home Care Association Community and Member Relations Committee. Her hobbies and interests included reading, birdwatching, gardening, field work, cycling, swimming, travelling, sewing and making quilts for world relief. She is mourned by Ed; her parents; 1 brother.
