ANNIE SCHMIDT
Annie Schmidt died June 28. She was born Nov. 30, 1910 in Langham, Sask. to John and Susie Wall. The early loss of her mother was difficult. She became a Christian at 19 and was baptized in the Hepburn (Sask.) MB Church. She married Jacob Schmidt Oct.25, 1931. They farmed in Waldheim 31 years, moving to Saskatoon in 1963. She took in boarders and worked as a janitor. Their 1948 ordination as deacons was a lifelong mission. She was a person of order, a prayer warrior, deeply concerned for her family. Predeceased by Jacob in 2002, she leaves daughters Lois Block and Sophie Schmidt; sons Klinten and Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral was July 3 in West Portal MB Church, Saskatoon.
