California Pastor And Family Killed In Highway Crash

Reedley, Calif. — A car-truck collision near Victoria, Tex. on June 26 claimed the lives of Rev. Frank Rodriquez [sic Rodriguez], 27, his wife Lupe, 23, their daughter Marissa, one, and Mrs. Rodriquez' [sic Rodriguez] sister Annabelle Gonzalez, 12.

A native of Weslaco, Tex., Rev. Rodriquez [sic Rodriguez] reportedly had been the youngest minister in the history of the Mennonite Brethren Church when he was ordained at age 23.

He was a graduate of Pacific and Fresno State colleges, both in Fresno, and had earned a Master's degree in mathematics from Stanford University.

Rev. Rodriquez [sic Rodriguez] had been pastor of the M. B. Church in Parlier for six years. Last January he was appointed executive director of the Fresno County Economic Opportunity Commission.

Funeral services for the family were conducted in the Reedley M. B. Church on July 1.
