•  Herman P. Androes, 67, of rural Sedgwick died Oct. 8 in a Wichita hospital after a brief illness.  He was a retired employee of Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, and moved to the Sedgwick community 16 years ago from Wichita.  the funeral was conducted Friday forenoon at the First Mennonite Church of Halstead, of which he was a member.  Rev. Melvin J. Schmidt, the pastor, officiated.  Mr. Androes was the brother of Sister Lena Androes of Newton.
