TINA LOEWEN
na Loewen passed away Feb . 24 in Central Park Lodge, Brandon, Man. She was born Oct. 2, 1912 to Isaac and Helena Steingard in Lichtfeld, Ukraine, the 4th of 13 children. Her faith in Christ be- gan early in life. She had a conversion expe- rience at 12 through the ministry of Rev. Hofer, who came from the US to preach the gospel. In 1924 the family immigrated to Morris, Man ., moving to a farm at Minnedosa, Man. in 1930. On Feb. 22, 1931, she married An- drew Loewen of the Moore Pa rk district. She was baptized and joined Justice (Man.) MB Church Sept. 6, 1964. In 1977 they re- tired from the farm to Brandon and joined Richmond Park MB Church. She was a qui- et, unassuming w ife and mother, who lived a simple life, trusted God, and relied on prayer and the Word of God, often finding the Psalms most meaning- ful. She often ex- pressed thankfulness to God that none of her family experienced di- vorce. Predeceased by Andrew in 1980 and a great-g ra nddaug ht er, she is mourned by chil- dren Henry of St. Paul, Alta., Anne Krueger of Brandon, William of Moore Park, Man., Rudy of Wroxton, Sask., Susan Enns of Abbotsford, B.C., He- len Hiebert of Plum Coulee, Man., John of Moore Park, Linda Pen- ner of Winnipeg and Mary Rose Dueck of Steinbach, Man .; 30 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
