Three Aged widows Called Away in Death
Freeman, S. D. — Three aged widows, all long-time residents of this community, were called away in death recently within a few days' time.
Funeral services for Mrs. Peter J. Schrag, 88, were held Jan. 18 at the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church. The large family of survivors includes three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Caroline (Ries) Graber, 89, widow of Cari Graber, died Jan 19 at the Freeman Hospital. The funeral was held Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Salem Mennonite Church.
On Jan. 20 Mrs. Julius (Lena) Miller, died at the local hospital after a long illness. Among those coming for the funeral, held Jan. 23 at the Salem-Zion Church, were her son and daughter-i-law, Rev. and Mrs. Edmund G. Miller of North Newton, Kan.
