MAGDALENE (MAGGIE) REIMER
Magdalene (Maggie) Reimer passed away Nov. 19 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 1, 1933 to John and Liese Dick in Lethbridge, Alta., the second youngest of 13 children. At 12, she accepted Christ; she was later baptized and joined Coaldale (Alta.) MB Church . She taught girls' club and vacation Bible school and was active in ladies' groups. A passion was singing in the church choir, She married Jake Reimer in 1956. They retired from farming in 1998. Several months later, she was diagnosed with cancer. She remained optimistic to her final days, hoping to make a full recovery. This optimism and her acceptance that God had a plan for her life allowed her to remain a loving, caring person. She is mourned by Jake; children Doreen Wedel, Mel, Leona, and Harv; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters and 6 brothers, A memorial service was held Nov. 24 in Coaldale MB Church, with Lorne Willms ministering.
