MRS. AGATHA PETERS
(Mrs.) Agatha Peters of Clearbrook, B.C., passed away on June 23. She was born to Henry and Anna Funk on August 9, 1896 in Kronstahl, southern Russia. In 1902 her family emigrated to Canada, settling near Hague, Saskatchewan. Agatha accepted Jesus as Christ and Savior at an early age and soon after declared her commitment publicly through baptism. She was married to Isaac F. Peters on June 21, 1917, a union that was to be blessed with one son and three daughters. In 1937 the family moved to Vancouver, where she was an active member first of the Vancouver (43rd Ave.), then of the Fraserview Mennonite Brethren Churches.
Her family remembers her great love for children and the home, and especially her desire to use her abilities for God. She was predeceased by her husband on June 8,1977, only a few days before their diamond wedding anniversary. She leaves to mourn one son, Henry Peters; three daughters: Mrs. A. Kornelson, Mrs. W. Boldt and Mrs. H. Derksen; and many relatives and friends.
