KARL HILDEBRANDT
Karl Hildebrandt of St. Catharines, Ont., was born to Mr. and Mrs. W. Hildebrandt on Dec. 24, 1959, After completing his elementary school years at Colonel John Butler School, Karl attended Eden Christian College and later Grantham High School. He accepted Christ as his Saviour when he was 12, and was later baptized in Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church. His tragic death occurred on May 9 when he was relaxing with friends near the Niagara River. He was swept from a slippery rock by the strong currents and was drowned. His body was found three weeks later, for which his parents are thank ful.
His family remembers him for his outgoing personality and also his wish to be a better Christian. He will be missed by his father and mother, Werner and Justina; brother John and his wife Kathy; and sisters Gerda and Silvia. The funeral service was held at Scott Street Mennonite Brethren Church in St. Catharines, with Rudy Bartel officiating.
