— Funeral services for G. M. Kliewer were held Monday afternoon at the Burrton Christian church, Rev. R. L. Decker of Kansas City officiated, assisted by Rev. A. H. Peters. Mr. Kliewer made his home in Newton until a few months ago when he went to stay with his daughter, Mrs. Gene Gibson in Kansas City, Mo. Children surviving are Mrs. Lee P. (Salome) Draney of the Samoan Islands. J. Willard Kliewer of Parsons, and Mrs. Gene (Miriam) Gibson. H. P. Jantzen of Newton is a brother-in-law and Mrs. Henry A. Ratzleff [sic Ratzlaff] is an aunt of Mr. Kliewer. His brother John C. Kliewer of Philadelphia came here for the funeral and visited relatives and friends in Newton.
