LEONARD WILLMS
Leonard Willms, the son of Jake and Susie Willms of Chilliwack, B.C., died suddenly as a result of an accident while on a trip to Fort St. John, B.C. on August 25. He was born on July 26, 1956 and lived all of his life until recently at Chilliwack. He was attending Simon Fraser University at the time of his death. He was a good student and excelled in sports and music and received much recogniion in both. He had performed at many recitals and served as church and choir pianist at the East Chilliwack Mennonite Brethren Church. At an early age he gave his life to Jesus with the help of his mother. His spiritual life was helped through the boys brigade at the East Chilliwack and Broadway (Chilliwack) Mennonite Brethren churches In recent years he experienced many struggles in his spiritual life, though he also expressed to his parents and friends his awareness of his need and his desire for a closer walk with God not long before his death. They can accept his death and its unanswered questions with a faith firmly anchored in the Lord.
Leonard is survived and lovingly remembered by his parents, one sister, Sylvia, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Willms and Mr. and Mrs. G.G. Delesky.
