MRS. HELENE WIENS
(Mts. Helene Wiens (nee Mandtler) of Vineland, Ont., was born in Russia on April 14, 1882. She passed away on May 14, 1978 in the United Mennonite Home for the Aged in Vineland.
She was widowed in 1919, and was left alone to raise eight children. She was baptized in the Mennonite Brethren Church in 1923, and remained a member of the church the rest of her life.
In 1948 she emigrated to Canada, and came to Campden, Ont. She moved to Vineland to become a resident in the United Mennonite Home for the Aged many years ago.
She leaves behind Peter Wiens and his wife and family of Beamsville, Ont., two daughters and their families in Russia, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
