MRS. ANNA VOTH

(Mrs.) Anna Voth (nee Rempel) was born to Abraham and Elizabeth Rempel in Gnadenfeld, Molotschna, southern Russia on July 3, 1888. At 17 years of age she accepted the Lord as her Saviour, was baptized and joined the Gnadenfeld First Mennonite Church. In 1910 she married Alexander Voth. Her husband managed a farm, served in the medical corps during World War I and then rented a farm, before emigrating to Canada in 1924. After several more moves, the Voths settled in LaGlace, Alta., where they lived until 1943. The next move was to Yarrow, B.C., where their livelihood was earned by raspberry farming. Mr. Voth went to be with the Lord in 1954 after a heart attack.

During the next seven years of widowhood, Mrs. Voth lived in Yarrow. Several operations became necessary, which weakened her physically and prevented complete recovery. For this reason she moved to the Tabor Home in Clearbrook, B.C., in 1961. Here she spent 13 peaceful years. Because of advancing age and weakness, Anna Voth spent her last years at the Menno Home in Clearbrook. On October 22 she was released from earthly pain and weariness and joined the presence of the Lord.

She leaves to mourn four children and their families: Theodore, Ernest, (Mrs.) Olga Smith and (Mrs.) Herta Neumann.
