MRS. MARIE BROWN

(Mrs.) Marie Brown (nee Lepp) of Winnipeg was called home to heaven suddenly on August 2 in her 76th year. She was born in Steinfeld, Russia on November 23, 1900, and emigrated to Canada with her family in 1912, settling in Dalmeny, Saskatchewan. Later the family moved to Manitoba. Here she was married in 1929 to George Brown.

The Browns were early residents of the Brooklands suburb of Winnipeg, having moved there in 1948. She was predeceased by her beloved husband in 1968. She was a member of the Brooklands Community Church at the time of her death. A funeral service was held on August 5 with Lorlie Barkman of the Brooklands Church ministering .

She leaves to mourn her daughter, (Mrs.) Brenda Cotton of Winnipeg; sisters Susan (Mrs. John) Thiessen and Elizabeth (Mrs. George) Thiessen; a brother, Jac Lepp; and many friends.
