ABRAM H. DICK

Abram H. Dick was born on June I, 1901 to Herman and Maria Dick at Plum Coulee, Man. On November 25, 1925 he married Katherine Loewen in a ceremony at which the late Rev. A. H. Unruh officiated. On June 25, 1958 he was baptized upon confession of faith and joined the Gospel Light Mennonite Brethren Church in Carman, Manitoba.

The Dicks had four children, two sons and two daughters. They spent most of their married life in Roland, Manitoba, where Mr. Dick worked for the regional municipality. He retired in 1969. In April, 1975 the Dicks moved to Carman and that August had the joy of celebrating their 50th anniversary.

On February 26 he was taken to the Carman hospital, suffering from chest pains. Two days later he suffered a heart attack, on February 28, and went home to be with his Lord. A funeral service was held in the Gospel Light Church on March 3 with Rev. Peter Doerksen conducting the service.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Maria; his children and their spouses, Clarence and Marge of Surrey, B.C., Dorothy (Mrs. Mervin) Gower of Snowflake, Man., Hazel (Mrs. Ralph) Nobes of Kitchener, and Kenneth and Doreen of Carman; seven grandchildren; one great.grandchild; two brothers; three sisters; and many relatives and friends.
