• Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Franz, 67, wife of Herman C. Franz, were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Halstead First Mennonite Church by the pastor, Rev. Arnold E. Funk. Mrs. Franz did April 15 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital here after a six-week illness. A resident of Halstead for many years, she had lived at Sedgwick the past six months. She was the mother of Donald Franz of Sedgwick; Mrs. Betty Bodin of Mission, and Mrs. Mary Lou Duerksen, wife of Dr. Joseph Duerksen, Champa, India. Also surviving are her husband, three brothers, two sisters and seven grandchildren. | |||
