A double funeral was scheduled at the First Mennonite Church of McPherson May 21 for James L. Sawatsky of McPherson and his father, Harry H. Sawatsky of McPherson. Allan Martin and Nick Rempel will officiate. The younger Sawatsky, a businessman, died May 18 at the age of 47 while visiting in Manhattan. His father, 70, a retired masseur, died the following day at the McPherson Memorial Hospita. Harry Sawatsky is survived by his widow, the former Leona Wiens; a brother, John J. of Buhler; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. James Sawatsky is survived by his widow, the former Darlene Frey; four sons, Daniel of Cincinnati, Ohio, David of Windom and Dwight and Dwayne of the home; and his mother. | |||
