DIES IN PLANE DISASTER

Toronto, Ont. — A memorial service was held at the United Mennonite Church here Dec. 3 for First Officer Harry J. Dyck, 35, co-pilot of the TCA airliner which crashed near Montreal on Nov. 29, killing the crew of seven and 111 passengers. It was the worst air disaster in Canadian history.

Mr. Dyck was in his 11th year as a TCA pilot. Survivors include his wife and two adopted children, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J G. Dyck of Leamington.

Besides Co-Pilot Harry Dyck, 35, Leamington, Ont. (already reported as a fatality in an earlier issue of the Review), two other Mennonites died in the crash of a Trans Canada airliner at Montreal on Nov. 29. They were R. K. Buhr and V. Janzen, both of Toronto. Cause of the disaster in which 118 persons were killed, has not yet been determined.
