MRS. TINA KLASSEN
(Mrs.) Tina Klassen of Coaldale, Alta., passed away on July 24 at the age of 66 after a lengthy illness. She was born on April 13, 1910 in the Crimea, southern Russia, and received her early education there. At the age of 18 she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and the same year was baptized and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church. She came to Canada in 1924 and in 1930 she was united in marriage to Cornelius Klassen. They lived first at Crowfoot and in 1935 moved to Coaldale. She first became ill in 1969, but she was able to remain at home until four days before her passing. She will be remembered by her family as a generous, cheerful and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
The funeral assembly was greeted with Rev. 1: 18, "I am he that liveth . . . and behold, I am alive for everyone." Henry P. Nikkel and Rudy Heidebrecht ministered. The funeral was conducted from the Coaldale Mennonite Brethren Church.
Mrs. Klassen is survived by her husband; two sons, Herb, and wife Elsie, and Erwin, and wife Eunice; four grandchildren; one sister, (Mrs.) Betty Hildebrand of Vineland, Ont.; and two brothers, Aron Baerg of St. Catharines, and Jacob Baerg of Virgil, Ont.
